I want my records
Start here to seek your military investigation file.
You do not need to know exactly what records exist before contacting us. Tell us what happened, where you served, and what you are trying to obtain. We can help identify whether records may exist and whether FOIA is the right path.
We cannot guarantee that records exist or that the government will release them, but we can help you understand the next step.
1
Tell us what you know about your case.
2
We help identify possible records and agencies.
3
We help pursue release when records are withheld.
What to include if you are ready
- Your branch of service or military institution.
- The approximate year and location of the incident or report.
- Whether you made a restricted or unrestricted report.
- Any case number, office, investigator, or command you remember.
It is okay if you do not have all of this. Start with what you know.
